Meet Emily & Steve

  • Parents to three children: Eden, Junebug, and Jules.

  • We have two matching tattoos.

  • Huge Wes Anderson fans (obviously).

  • In 2015 we sold our house, quit our office jobs and spent a year travelling around Asia and Europe building our photography business - we have been full-time since then and are 100% living our dream life.

  • We home educate our children which means we have the freedom to travel in the winter months.

  • Obsessed with backgammon - we got nicknamed “that backgammon couple” on our honeymoon after playing it for many hours at the beach bar.

  • Bookworms - East of Eden and The Great Gatsby are a couple of our favourites. Our house is slowly turning into a library.

  • We love the nostalgia of 35mm film.

  • We love indie flicks and are hugely inspired by these in our photography but we also have a soft spot for cheesy action films (Nicolas Cage, anyone?).

  • We quote Alan Partridge, Peep Show, and The Office USA more than is strictly necessary- always makes our day when you send a quote in your email to us.

We live for the moments you'll most likely miss

The films we keep coming back to: Wes Anderson for the framing, Terrence Malick for the light, Richard Curtis for the warmth. We create wedding photos that look like your favourite films.

On the day, we're quiet and discreet. Small kit, no choreographing, no asking you to do anything twice. Guests forget we are even there.

Couples often tell us they expected to feel awkward in front of the cameras and didn't. Once people stop performing for the lens, the photographs we actually want to take start happening.

But most of all, we just want to capture people in love.

Meet the Team

Two photographers shoot alongside us - Josie and Mi. We've worked with them long enough that they see weddings the way we do: the same kind of moments, the same kind of light. They shoot, we edit. By the time the gallery's ready, it looks the way it would if we had stood behind the camera ourselves. We wouldn't have built a team any other way.
